- The Embassy of Georgia was presented with a certificate in recognition of Georgia’s participation as Guest of Honour at the 19th International Mediterranean Folklore Festival. The certificate was presented to the Chargé d’Affaires of Georgia, Ms Marine Narchemashvili, by the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Cyprus, Ms Clea Hadjistephanou Papaellina, and the Mayor of Larnaka, Mr Andreas Vyras.

The festival is held annually with the support of the Cultural Heritage Association of Nicosia, the Municipality of Larnaka, the Holy Metropolis of Tamassos and Orinis, and the Deputy Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Cyprus. Traditional Georgian dances were performed at the festival by the dance group “Skhieri” and the Cyprus-based ensemble “Romisioni.”
