The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Announces the “Georgian Taste” Grant Competition

The programme aims to promote Georgian cuisine abroad, encourage the involvement of Georgian diaspora members in introducing Georgian dishes, recipes, and culinary traditions, organise culinary events, workshops, and camps where participants can actively learn how to prepare traditional Georgian dishes, and support Georgian restaurants, culinary clubs, and Georgian Sunday school projects established by the diaspora, with the involvement of Georgia’s diplomatic missions and consular offices abroad.

Eligible applicants:

  • Georgian diaspora organisations operating abroad;
  • Georgian Sunday schools;
  • Young Georgians residing abroad;
  • Georgian restaurants and culinary clubs operating abroad;
  • Citizens of Georgia who have resided abroad for at least the past one year and hold the legal right to remain in their country of residence for at least the following six months.

Required application documents:

  • Completed application form;
  • Valid Georgian national ID card or Georgian passport;
  • Document confirming legal residence in the country of residence;
  • Detailed project proposal;
  • Project budget.

Project evaluation criteria:

Priority will be given to projects based on:

  • The level of cooperation with Georgia’s diplomatic missions;
  • The expected impact of the project;
  • The project's innovation and sustainability;
  • The feasibility of the project and the soundness of the proposed budget.

The results of the competition will be announced on 10 September 2026, and the successful applicants will be notified accordingly.
