The festive liturgy was attended by students of the Georgian Sunday School in Cyprus, members of the Georgian diaspora, and representatives of the Embassy of Georgia in Cyprus.
Father Theosevios congratulated the Georgians gathered at the monastery on the Feast of the Dormition and spoke about the historical ties between Georgia and Cyprus, the history of the Gialia Monastery, and its significance for Georgians.
Founded by Georgians in Cyprus in the 10th century, the Gialia Monastery served as an important cultural and religious centre.
