Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Marine Nartsemashvili met with the Head of the Diplomatic Office of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Doros Venizis.

The parties discussed the current agenda of bilateral relations, the importance of high-level meetings and visits, as well as prospects for enhancing cooperation in various fields. It was noted that the historical ties and shared Christian culture between the two countries provide a solid foundation for friendly relations. Readiness to revitalize the bilateral agenda was expressed. Cooperation within international organizations and mutual support on issues of importance to both countries were positively assessed.

Marine Nartsemashvili congratulated Cyprus on its successful Presidency of the Council of the European Union and expressed hope that the priorities set by Cyprus would leave a significant impact on the European Union and the wider region.
