Please be informed that amendments to the Law of Georgia “On Labour Migration” will enter into force on March 1, 2026.
According to the amendments, any foreign national who intends to be legally employed in Georgia or to carry out labor or entrepreneurial activities (including remote work) will be required to obtain a Work Activity Permit.
The authority responsible for issuing the Work Activity Permit will be the LEPL State Employment Promotion Agency operating within the system of the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia.
The process for obtaining the Work Activity Permit will be conducted entirely electronically.
