The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia announces a grant competition dedicated to Mother Language Day – “My Language is Georgian.”
The aim of the competition is to support the teaching of the Georgian language and promote Georgian culture, as well as to support diaspora initiatives with the active involvement of Georgia’s diplomatic missions and consular offices abroad.
Eligible applicants include:
- Georgian diaspora organizations operating abroad;
- Georgian Sunday schools;
- non-profit organizations operating abroad in the field of promoting the Georgian language and culture;
- citizens of Georgia who have been residing abroad for at least the past one year and have the right to reside in the host country for at least the following six months.
Interested organizations and individuals are required to submit:
- a completed application form;
- a valid Georgian ID card or passport of the applicant (citizen of Georgia);
- a document confirming legal residence in the host country;
- a detailed project description;
- a budget.
Projects will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- level of cooperation with diplomatic missions;
- expected results of the project;
- level of student involvement in the project;
- innovation and sustainability;
- feasibility and soundness of the budget.
