Marine Narchemashvili, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of Georgia to the Republic of Cyprus, met with the Mayor of Nicosia, Charalambos Prountzos. They discussed the historically friendly relations between Georgia and Cyprus and explored opportunities for developing cooperation between Tbilisi and Nicosia.
The parties expressed interest in the development trends of Tbilisi and Nicosia in the fields of tourism, economy, innovation, and ecology, and affirmed their readiness to promote the mutual sharing of experience.
They also agreed on future cooperation aimed at promoting Georgian and Cypriot culture in both capitals.
Marine Narchemashvili thanked the Mayor for allocating a high-tech classroom at the Ellinion Municipal School for the Georgian Sunday School, where Georgian children have the opportunity to study the Georgian language, history, and culture. The meeting also addressed the issue of high-level visits between the two capitals.
