On December 13, 2021, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Cyprus, Teimuraz Kekelidze met with the President of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus Ms. Annita Demetriou.
The parties stressed the need for further development of cooperation between the legislative branches of the governments of the two countries, including through parliamentary friendship groups. The President of the House of Representatives confirmed the readiness to host in Nicosia the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia.
During the meeting, it was noted that the year 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and the Republic of Cyprus, which provides an opportunity to jointly celebrate this festive date.
